This Black Friday, Foxtown Brewing is pulling out all the stops for craft beer enthusiasts. Brewery co-founder Kyle Smith teases three exceptional barrel-aged releases that are not to be missed.
The Waiting – A double barrel-aged imperial stout at 16% ABV, The Waiting is Foxtown’s heaviest and highest ABV barrel-aged stout ever. Aged one year in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and another year in fresh whisky barrels from LaCrosse Distilling Co., it delivers rich dark malts, deep barrel flavors, and a warm rye spice finish.
See What Tomorrow Brings – This 13% barrel-aged English barleywine spent three years in a 15-year George Dickel Whisky oak cask before being infused with Madagascar vanilla. Expect upfront malty sweetness, a smooth Tennessee whisky undertone, and a gentle vanilla finish.
With A Twist – A Belgian golden strong ale aged in a Great Lakes Distilling gin barrel for two years, this 13.2% ABV beer combines mellowed Belgian yeast tones with botanical gin notes. Its soft reddish hue from wood tannins makes it visually striking as well as flavorful.
